When we stream using OBS we are going to YouTube live.

There are our church services and there are times when we share a YouTube video.

Since we do not want to stream a YouTube video over YouTube live we either do not stream these services or wait to begin until after this part of the service is over.

Sometimes that does not work very well.

We would like to be able to do what our local news station does during commercials.

There is a static screen that says "We'll be right back" and when the commercials are over it starts up again.

Is there any way to do something like this with OBS so I would not have to start and stop the stream? I want the YouTube session to be continuous, I.E. for a Sunday service I want it to be the whole service, not in 2 or 3 different parts.

First, you'll need to create the image.

Then, create a new scene, add your image to it, and then switch to that scene when you want to display it.

Very simple :)
