Question / Help Partial capture

I'm trying to capture my friend's webcam from discord to project it onto my screen. I'd prefer not to have discord in full screen video mode to do that. How do i do a partial capture? I just want to capture the portion of discord that his webcam is on. I've googled it but most threads are old and mention menus im not seeing
