Question / Help Partial black/frozen/half transparent screen

I'm trying to record a 3D design program (FreeCAD). The design field area (where you'd see the stuff you're making) either stays black, freezes on the startup tab, or has this frozen over/underlay of obs. I'm using window as the source, but the same results come from using game as well. It works using display, but that's not an option since I switch windows frequently.

One other thing- I had to ignore two things that errored out whilst installing obs: some graphics32 and 64 or something of that nature, it's been awhile since then so I can't recall.

Most "black screen fix" things I've looked into all use the same fix, but I got nowhere with that.

You basically need to use display capture. Not much you can do to avoid it because of how those kinds of programs render.
