Question / Help Paint Tool Sai Won't Show Up

I'm trying to stream to picarto.tv. I used the regular OBS and that didn't work.

Now I'm using OBS Studio, and it still isn't working. When I right click to select a source, I'll go to Windows and I'll see my list of open windows. However there are some windows listed that I do not have open, and not one of them is Paint tool sai, or even Photoshop. I'm really struggling, as I have a stream in thirty minutes.

This is considered normal behavior for how these programs render their windows. Display capture is the only way to do it.

Then I wish you the best of luck determining what changed on your system, because OBS wasn't updated during that time and the functionality you want is not expected behavior.

I'm noticing other users experiencing problems similar to mine, thus it is not a problem solely related to me. Thus, it is a problem with OBS.

I'm actually experiencing the same issue. I was able to stream to twitch just a few days ago in Window Capture and now it won't let me select Paint Sai as the window but has things like the calculator? Which I don't even have running. Paint Sai did not update, and I went so far as to uninstall and reinstall OBS and it still won't capture the window? Any Ideas?

@Jeallen25 Although your issue seems similar, I encourage you to post your own thread with log files so that they can be analyzed separately without creating multiple conversation threads here. Feel free to link to this thread and mention that you think the issues are the same or related.

Also, when you post your new thread, you might want to consider and answer these questions...
Did Windows Update download and install any updates? Any new drivers? Any new software? Any new hardware? Any system setting changes?

Since @kovaleia did not post a complete log file that is from a streaming/recording session that exhibits the issue that was described, we're not really able to analyze the issue in detail. It would also be helpful to see a log file from a streaming/recording session where the window capture "worked" before. Descriptions are helpful, but log data usually contains most of the information that we need to see.

@kovaleia Are your SAI files on your computer and in your program files?
I had the same issue and it turns out since I was running SAI off of my flash drive and not directly off the computer, which is where I had OBS downloaded onto, it didn't recognize that SAI was even running on my computer since OBS could not access my flash drive. I fixed it by just moving my files onto my computer and then booting up SAI which it then started being able to capture SAI.
