Owl box camera (RCA to USB) - doesn't appear in sources?

Hi,
I have an owl box behind my house and RCA cable that runs from an infrared camera inside the box to my house.
I can connect the RCA directly to an old tv I have (with RCA ports) and the video looks great.
So I know I'm good up to there.
Next I have a RCA to USB converter and obviously I plug the usb end into my PC.
Should it then show up in sources somehow? I don't see it and I don't understand how to get to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last year screech owls had young in this box and it is nearly breeding season for them again.
Best,
Mike

In the source list click the + sign and select ADD VIDEO CAPTURE DEVICE/Create New... and You should see the cam in the list..
If that works post back and I'll give you a few basic setting to use...

Thanks for the response.
I had already tried the steps you suggested, but don't see the device anywhere.
The only thing listed by device is "OBS Virtual camera" and there is no video or anything.
Seems like it's not recognizing the camera at all.

Well, that's all I can suggest.
I'm sure there are others here more familiar with your problem and can suggest a solution...
