Overlay showing scene boundaries

Hi I'm new here, nice to meet you all!

I've been searching all over to try and find a way to get what my title suggests, but all I've found is ways to add frames and other stuff to the recording/stream itself. I'm not sure if I'm simply not using the correct search terms, but I thought I could just ask here instead of caving in to frustration.

To give you a better idea, I used to use Camtasia way back in my teens and it had this feature built in, which also let you resize it mid-recording if you wanted to zoom in or out a particular region, or was it automatic? Sorry I don't remember well. I just need to see the boundaries of my recording to better tell what stuff is being shown, kind of like the yellow rectangle that wraps around the source you selected in OBS, but instead showing the boundaries of the scene itself when it's smaller or larger than the source.

Do you know any setting or plugin that could help me achieve that?

magnifying glass function of windows as Window Source ?
Sorry for the late reply, busy week. I've been trying but I just don't know how to set that up. Still, I don't really want my recordings to follow my mouse around the screen, nor do I want to use its full screen setting since I usually have other things around the recording area that I like to drag in and out of view while I talk.

What I've resorted to use is an actual, physical frame made with paper strips that I tape to my screen and which matches the borders of the recording area. I think it goes without saying how this is a bit unpractical, so if anyone would be kind enough to point me towards a more digital solution I would be very grateful.
