Bug Report output path is invalid

OBS was working fine until the latest update. Now whenever I try to record, it says "the configured file output path is invalid. Please check your settings to confirm that a valid file path has been set." I go to recording settings and my Desktop folder is still the file output path. I try changing it to a different folder and I still get this error. Anyone know how to get around this? I'm on MacOS 10.15.1

I had the same experience and solved the problem the same way -- by creating a VIDEOS subfolder of Desktop. It is possible that using the "Browse" button may have helped. When I set the Desktop as the destination folder, I typed it in. When I set Desktop/VIDEOS as the destination folder, I used Browse.
