Question / Help Optimal Stream Settings for my PC&Internet ( High End )

Hi Guys,

my Name is Julian and on Twitch it is CrankzHD.

I'd like to stream the max settings my Pc & my Internet Connection can handle :)

Setup:

CPU : i7 6700k

GPU : Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080

Ram : 16 gig 2400 mhz

SSD : 2x Samsung 850 Evo 500gb were i got my OBS on aswell

Internet : 19 ms, 45mb/s download , 9.38 mb/s upload

Edit #1 : i want to Stream at 60 FPS 1080p , but might need to downscale due to i havent got a Quality toggle yet :)

real time video compression takes a LOT of CPU power, for you to get reasonable compression on 1080p60 even on that CPU wouldn't be possible. Go for 720p60 at a bitrate of 3000 (you can go for 3500 but usually people complain about lag because their internet is too slow.)

Use x264 encoder
scale in video tab, leave 'rescale output' unchecked in output tab
rate control CBR
keyframe interval of 2 seconds
CPU preset of faster (you might be able to go to fast depending on what you are doing/game you are playing in stream.)
Profile main

If you streamed to youtube you could do 1080p because they allow a higher bitrate so you could use the NVENC encoder and give quality options and not worry about getting good compression, but for twitch use 720p which will look better at that low of a bitrate.
