I used to use OBS version 18 or so to do this:
1. Constantly record video of my screen.
2. I want to refer back to what I just did (like a game in which I want to review what just happened).
3. Open up the currently recording video file (which was a .flv) in VLC video player and fast forward to near the end of the video file using the seek bar to fast forward to what I want to see. This is done without stopping the OBS recording.
This used to work fine, but after I updated to OBS 21.0.1, opening up the currently recording video file (.flv format) does play the file, but I can't use the seek bar to get to the end of the video anymore. VLC or other video players do not recognize the length of the video now, though it used to for videos created in the older version of OBS. The seek bar does show up properly if I stop the recording and let the file be processed.
Is there a setting I can change to have video files that can be seeked in video players while OBS is recording?
