Question / Help Only Recording about a minute out of a few mins of recording

I was recording for about half an hour the other day and I was going to edit the file when I saw only about a minute was there, with about 1fps.
If anyone can help me resolve the problem I would greatly appreciate it!
Is it that the settings weren't right as I checked them and I don't know what to do!
