only recording a corner of my screen!

So I am pretty new to obs and don't know everything, so bear with me. any way I want to record fortnite but am having trouble with recording it. but as the title states i cant record without it glitching and only recording one side of the screen! tell me if theirs a fix for it. thanks!

Had the same issue on my wife's laptop. It has a better screen resolution than mine (now I'm jealous!). Go to File | Settings | Video and make sure the base (canvas) size is the same as your screen resolution

You can also right click on the source click "transform" then "Edit transform" then adjust the "bounding box size" to the "base canvas" size you have set in settings.

Aha! I need to try this. I set my game resolution down to something stupidly low and fullscreened the window, and yep, the upper left corner is the only thing I see. I'm hoping that by shifting the base resolution down, I can solve some of my frame-rate issues.
