Question / Help Only record part of canvas?

I want to both stream and record. On my stream I have a bunch of other sources around the gameplay, but for my recording I only want to record the gameplay. Is there a way to do this aside from recording everything and cropping it out in editing program later?

One instance of OBS will always record exactly what you stream. You can start a 2nd instance of OBS with a different configuration - the first to stream, the second to record.
