Question / Help Only Getting 20 FPS Local Recording WoW

I'm new to OBS. I'd like to record gameplay videos of WoW. I'm not interested in streaming. My problem is when I have OBS open, the FPS on the bottom right hand corner shows between 18-21 FPS and between 4%-7% CPU usage. When I start recording those numbers stay pretty much the same and my recorded video is noticeably laggy. My game also shows noticeable signs of performance drop. Any help for a new user to OBS please?

So other than changing to game capture, nothing should be changed? I guess I'll find out this evening when I try again. As I stated before, I'm new to OBS and I don't want to start changing a bunch of settings blindly not knowing what they do exactly.

That should be it. Display capture is the worst capture method for efficiency, and it's triply so on windows 7.
