One OBS- One machine- Different users-Different purposes- How to do that?

One PC with OBS. I like to do gaming, Tik Tok Duets, and Rocksmith Guitar. So that alone is 3 different setups. Now, my two boys are into gaming and they have their own respective YouTube channels. . I thought, after I've gotten everything setup for one task. Like, Gaming. I could save it as a profile. Then I could set things up for doing Tik Tok duets and then save that as a different profile. Each one having the same and/or different sources. Nope. Can't do that. Which makes zero sense in my mind. I'd like to load separate setups. So the kids don't muc up the settings I like and visa versa. Do the creators of OBS think that one person will only utilize OBS for a single dedicated task? Do they think only one user in a household will use their software. OBS is awesome. But this issue is a major shortcoming. This can be sort of worked out by using the scene feature. But that's not what its for and it doesn't load different stream settings.

Profiles are for separate settings such as stream/recording settings, resolution, etc. Scene Collections are for separate content.

You can also have multiple portable installs.

For multiple users using the same computer, create a new Windows login for each user, so each user has its own completely independent environment. For shared data, create a directory like C:\data where all of you are allowed to read and write. You can also use Windows libraries for sharing and store shared data the public profile (c:\users\public), but it doesn't seem to be widely adopted by the users.

For multiple recording setups in OBS, use different scene collections. The menu is right next to the profile menu.
Profiles will save general settings like encoder and canvas+output resolution, while scene collections will save all your scenes and sources.
