One camera - Recording two resolutions -

Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to let you know that I am a complete novice when it comes to video recording and editing. I posted some social media videos for my business which got some traction so I decided to be more active with video and it led me here. I want to record at two different resolutions and would like to know if this is possible. My goal is to be able to post my videos on Instagram in square format and upload my videos to Facebook in widescreen format. Is it possible to record in two different resolutions OR would you recommend that I record in widescreen format and then simply crop the video afterwards to square? What is the best approach for this situation?

OBS cannot output 2 videos at the same time, and it's not possible to have 2 different aspect ratios at the same time. The best approach would probably to crop the video afterwards with some postprocessing tool.

optional you can run OBS twice, first sent to FB and NDI or teleport plugin sent to second OBS.
Second OBS receive and crop signal to insta.
