On watchTVeverywhere OBS only sees commercials

I stream TV channels to my Windows 10 computer using a website called watchTVeverywhere (wtve.net). It's a streaming service included with my old-style TV cable subscription.

Yesterday I downloaded OBS 31.0.3 so I could record streamed TV shows. I used OBS to record wtve content using both Window Capture and Display Capture. It worked fine.

Today the OBS window won't show the content when a sports program is showing. No changes have been made to the computer system. I recorded the same channels yesterday without any issues. Today everything except the actual content shows (i.e., the browser window frame, video progress bar, etc. all appear in OBS). The video in the browser windows shows normally. I've tried Chrome and Firefox browsers which worked yesterday.

The weird thing is that, when the stream goes to a commercial it shows in OBS. It's almost like the sports video is preventing OBS from capturing that content. I thought OBS grabbed the video at the output of the graphics card and so can't imagine what's happening.

Any ideas?

Looks as if your TV channel starts to use DRM protection of their video stream for copyright protection. There's nothing you can do, OBS is not a tool to circumvent DRM.

koala, thanks for the response.

I assumed DRM as well but asked only because one day earlier OBS showed everything. Since I'm new to this, I thought I might be missing something.

Thanks, again.
