So i want to stream and record games, and i want those to look good as reasonably possible.I worked on my stream, and i think i have found a good spot for it at 720 60fps.For streams,if i were to go for 1080 60,the video would get choopy and unwatchable at times, both because of the workload and the internet speed that i have.(my upload is around 6-7)
HOWEVER,what i also would like to focus is youtube,so i also tried recording.Btw,i am recording/streaming from consoles right now(x360 and ps4),because for now i have single pc,so performance issues can happen if i were to try stream/record at good quality while also playing the game on my laptop.I use an elgato hd60 as the capture card.
tl;dr
BUT,i get dropped/choppy frames at times. Its not unwatchable mostly,if it were for a stream,i would be okay with the result. But im not streaming,im recording, plus my computer does not even runs the game.So why cant i have a smooth recording? I tried recording both on obs and the elgato game capture. Also i checked the cpu usage while recording at obs,and it was around 20 to 30 percent. So i dont think it was something hard on the cpu, thefore not really a hardware problem.
My computer specs are gtx960m,i7 6700,with 16gb ram and 256ssd.Here is the log for the last recording i have made, which includes the problem i have just mentioned.
Thanks in advance!
