Question / Help OBS18 - Elgato Video Capture

Hi,

I've OBS 18 installed and using Elgato Video Capture on Win7 64-bit Lenovo T400 laptop. I want to capture a few PAL/NTSC VHS tape I've and save as mkv/x264 media. The device is connected to a VCR using the composite connection. I setup the video and audio capture sources. I could see the video and could hear the audio. But on the next day, I'm not getting the audio anymore and
I've the audio monitoring setup as "monitor and output". Tried to setup the sources again but no avail. When I setup the audio output mode as "capture audio only" from Elgato audio in. I get this error -

Does OBS support this device? Any way to get the audio back on? Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but hope someone would help here.

Yes, but you might need to click Configure Video in the Video Capture Device source properties in OBS and configure the Elgato manually there as well as in OBS.

The card outputs to DirectShow for OBS, so it should be fully supported.

I did look at the "configure video" which has all detected info in the video decoder and video proc amp. In the video capture source properties. I've the Audio Output Mode as Capture audio only with the custom device as Analog Audio In ( Elgato Video C

Is it right setup or do I have to change something else?

Are you seeing the green bar move in OBS?

No, there was no green bar. I realized that the audio custom device setting was incorrect and OBS won't revert back to default audio capture only state for some reason. I was using the OBS 18 portable version and I also had the previous version installed. So I removed the previous version, removed the video capture source , restarted the OBS and added the video capture source with defaults now I can hear the audio and the green bar.
