OBS & Zoom: Audio & visual not aligning

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to figure out why the audio & visual are not aligning. Example in one of my streams (Go to 25:51) - https://www.facebook.com/thesjhl/videos/683220629004123

Settings:
Audio - Sample rate 48 kHz
Using LoopBack for Audio (We need to link headsets to the people who are interviewing the zoom caller)
Using Window Capture in OBS for Zoom.

I thought maybe it was Zoom, and maybe I should try Skype?

Any help on this would be amazing.

Howdy friend! There are a couple of ways to fix that. Here are the ways that worked best for me:

1.) IF THE VIDEO IS AHEAD OF THE AUDIO, then go your webcam filters and add the effect "Render Delay." You can then adjust this accordingly to sync up with your audio. Keep in mind that it is in milliseconds, so if your audio and video sync is very far off, you may need to use decently large numbers.

2.) IF AUDIO IS AHEAD OF VIDEO, then go to your audio mixer. Once in your mixer, right click and go to "Advanced Audio Properties." From there, you can change the "Sync Offset" accordingly. Again, this is also in milliseconds, so if your video is really far behind, then this may need to be adjusted using rather large numbers. Note that this sync offset WILL NOT appear within OBS itself. You will only notice it in the output (that includes NDI Virtual, streaming, recording, etc.).

Hopefully this helps! I too had a lot of audio sync issues, and both of these options fixed 99% of them. Please let me know if you need anymore help or ideas!
