OBS Won't Update // 26.0.2

When I open OBS I'm told I'm not using the latest version however when I try to update it I receive a message noting that it can't update because OBS is open. I tried downloading the update file from the OBS website however when I open the site I'm again told it can't update because OBS is currently open... even though it's not. I'm unsure how to solve this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

No ideas from anyone? The problem is ongoing such that can't update OBS. I can really use some help!

The easiest way is to reboot and try running the new version installer again.
The harder way is to open Task Manager, and go through the Details tab listing of all running processes to find and shut down the stuck thread.
