I am new to all this and have no idea what I am doing or what half of this means. I downloaded OBS for streaming, but I would like to use it for recording video also occasionally. The settings for recording are set the same as stream, but when I click on "start recording" in the controls, I get an error message that says, "output failed, check log. if using NVENC or AMD encoders, make sure video drivers are up to date". I checked log, but tells me nothing because I don't know what it means. Just please help me.

Gives this error https://obsproject.com/logs/hbBIaC0gfOsk0gnX Any help would be appreciated

Update your Nvidia driver to at least 522.25 or 522.30 (Studio), 512.77 is too old.

BTW, I'm still using 522.30 with a 3090 & OBS v30, all good.
