Question / Help OBS won't run on my dedicated laptop GPU

i have an nvidia geforce 820m in my laptop and also intel hd 4400 graphics with a core i5-4210U. my problem is that when i select OBS to run with the nvidia GPU, all i see is a black screen but on the intel graphics it seems to be working fine. I want to use my nvida GPU because it peforms better. how can i fix this?
