Bug Report obs won't record my screen

On Fedora 28 x86_64

I tried this with both the obs provided by dnf and the one provided by Flathub

When rrecording the whole screen (the XSHM option) obs sees teh mouse pointer only but the rest of the scene is pitch black

When rrecording a single window it seems to work well
