OBS won't record my audio in MP4 or MOV video fromat

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but i can't find anything for the life of me. I have been recording games on OBS in flv, everything worked great for that. Now I need to record them in MOV format and OBS doesn't seem to record the audio but it can record the video. It shows on my Profiles and Scenes window that my mic is picking up me talking and my desktop audio but doesn't add it too the finished video. What is am I doing wrong?

I'm on the newest version of OBS (0.12.0)

My video editing software only handles files in AVI and MOV

Perhaps trying https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-convert-flvs-to-mp4-fast-without-re-encoding.78/ the ffmpeg method from this to convert your FLVs over to a format your editing software supports.

But first, try playing the videos with VLC.
