Hi,
OBS not recording desktop audio does seem to be a consistent problem and I have searched a lot for an answer so apologies if this is a duplicate post.
I'm trying to record mic and desktop audio to 2 separate channels on OBS. Both are routed through my Behringer UMC202-HD. Both are set as defaults and selected as default under the inputs in audio settings. I'm using advanced settings and routing audio to tracks 1 and 2, and I'm correctly sending the desktop audio to 1 and the mic to 2. The mic always records, the desktop hardly ever does. I can always see the desktop on the OBS monitors, so OBS is receiving it but it doesn't record.
The only time it records is if I start OBS 64bit as an administrator, but even then it only records the desktop audio for the first clip. For subsequent records it doesn't record it at all. I have to shut down OBS and restart to record again, which would be ok but even this doesn't consistently work.
FYI I'm pulling the files straight into Premiere so I can see that there's nothing there.
To me this feels like a windows 10 issue whereby it's preventing OBS from grabbing the audio, but I've tweaked all the settings i can think of and I'm at a loss.
Anyone know of a fix?
The log contains the last session where it recorded the desktop audio first time round, then refused to the next two times.
Thanks
