Hi! As the title suggests, I cannot open OBS via the normal OBS icon. It shows the process in task manager but it will never open. At best igave it around 10 min time to open.

Only way i found to open it is with theupdater.exe in the windows appdata folder. It will search for updates, not find any, and then has a "lauch OBS" button, which works like a charm.

I really don't want to continue to open OBS this way, as updating removes all my plugins, which i then have to reinstall and reconfigure. If this happens right before I'm supposed to stream, i can just call it quits at that point.

Here is a link to the dump fil if that helps: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wraNd8J80rHy6nKLNNeHVH6zlZeamVXP/view?usp=sharing

I couldn't open this file. I've had trouble in the past when I had a web cam attached and started obs without it connected. Obs would stop in the log where it was trying to open the web cam. Another solution is to delete the global.ini or at least move it else where for safe keeping.

Hey, the path where the profile and scene configs are saved is "C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\obs-studio.Jan 22, 2021

File is global.ini. Copy elsewhere, delete from directory above and see if that helps. You can always restore global.ini if it doesn't work. If you do have the webcam not connected, connect it.

Oblivious good advice in the above entry. Sometime obs is mysterious.
