Question / Help OBS won’t open

Complete newbie, today I was trying to use OBS for the first time.
MacBookPro running El Capitan

The program was at least opening ok, and I was at the beginning stages of getting it running.
I looked at setup notes and was informed I had to 1. Download and install a DMG that would add the option to Add an iOS capture device. 2. buy Camera for OBS Studio from the App Store.
I did both those things, and after I successfully installed the instructed .DMG, the program no longer opens. At All!
I’ve deleted and reinstalled the program (many times), I’ve followed lots of “solution” threads, I’ve Shut Down and restarted and all combinations of these.
Nothing seems to work.
Help, please.

El Capitan is too old. Minimum system requirement for new versions of OBS is 10.12 (Sierra).

I'm not aware of a version that is old enough to run on El Capitan but also works with the iOS Camera 3rd party plugin. You might try versions 22 or 23.
