Question / Help OBS with Allen & Heath QU-16 Digital Mixer via USB - No Sound in OBS

Hey all,

So, here is what's up: Been using OBS for about two years and have had a few issues with sound but have figured out either th root cause or implemented a workaround - until now.
  • The QU-16 is now connected to the PC 100% via USB.
    • Previously, I had it connected through an analog cable (Old school into the LINE in jack)
  • Windows sees the QU-16 as both an INPUT and OUTPUT device under SOUNDS>PLAYBACK and RECORDING
    • PLAYBACK of audio from the PC is sent to the QU-16 and is audible through the attached speakers. Check!
  • On the RECORDING tab, when speaking into the mic in the QU-16, I can see input on the LEVEL indicator. This shows that the PC sees the INPUT source from the QU-16 via the USB.
    • In OBS: There is no input from that same source - the levels do not show any input whatsoever.
    • This occurs whether the setting is on MONITOR OFF, MONITOR ONLY or MONITOR and OUTPUT - Nadda.
With that, I am STUCK. I do not see any (even somewhat obvious) reason that it should not be capturing the audio from that source since Windows recognizes the USB source.

We use OBS to not only stream to our YouTube channel but mainly for our members who may not be able to attend that day, so having no audio is paramount. We can get be when we have no vid feed, but no audio is altogether different.

HELP, please!

Thanks!

I have used qu-sb with OBS. usb channels 1 and 2 seem to be especially important. So I found that I have to route the desired mix to usb 1&2. That said I did quite a bit of testing only to have noise in the stream. Another post seems to indicate I need some ASIO plug-in to make it work correctly.
