Question / Help OBS Window Capture shows black bar at the bottom of recording

I use window capture to record my games, but suddenly the red outline that you use to resize the window capture isn't full sized anymore. I'm bad at explaining things so here's some pics of what I mean http://imgur.com/a/sc3VA

I haven't changed anything in my obs settings. Base and output res in obs settings are the same as they've always been - at 1920x1080. I haven't changed any settings in the game itself as well but that shouldn't matter since this seems like a problem on obs's end.

There's no black bar at the bottom since the window capture use to be full sized.

The window you're capturing likely isn't 1920x1080.

And you should be using game capture to capture games anyway.

I use window capture because game capture doesn't work for any of my games, but I'm fine with that as long as everything works. Also just to make sure my game was at the same res (1920x1080) I set it to windowed mode with the same exact res but the problem still happens. The black bar thing has been happening when I started recording only today and it was working fine with every game for the past 1-2 weeks before now.

What games have you been trying?

How many of them are directx 12 or vulkan based?

also, from our support chat factoid list:

Conflicts with Game Capture: Other capture programs, Razer Synapse (disable heatmaps), graphics mods like ENBSeries and SweetFX, and any type of software or utility that displays an in-game overlay like EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner, TS3/Mumble overlays, Dolby Axon, Raptr, Overwolf, etc. If you use D3DGear it must be uninstalled completely.

I've tried Need for Speed World, CSGO, and Insurgency. I know csgo and insurgency use dx9 but I don't know about nfsworld. I'm pretty sure nfsworld uses dx9 or dx11 but I'm not 100% sure. I also do have razer synapse for my mouse, tried closing it off completely and restarting my comp with the program not starting at startup but the problems still here.
