Question / Help OBS will record for 20:50 then freeze frame.

Hey there,

Just downloaded OBS studio and started recording some Rainbow Six Siege. Had some funny moments and was about to edit it. When re-watching it I noticed that my recording stopped exactly at 20 minutes and 50 seconds, freezing the frame but the sound would keep going.

Now I have made 5 videos and the same thing happens at 20:50.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Same exact issue here. And, as far as I have tried, no, there is no fix for this, apart from installing an older version of OBS (15.4) from the github page: https://github.com/jp9000/obs-studio/releases
(Also, it is always a good idea to post more info on your OBS settings and maybe your system specs with problems like this. Also, OBS logs can be useful.)

EDIT: assuming you're using the new AMD codec included in 16.x OBS, updating that plugin from https://github.com/Xaymar/OBS-AMD-Advanced-Media-Framework/releases fixed the freeze-framing for me.
