So i just got OBS and im already having issues. OBS will not record with nvenc h.264, if i set it to x264 it will work, but not with nvenc. i get no errors, no kind of messages or anything though. my issue is when i click "start recording" nothing happens. when i change nvenc to x264 and set ALL the settings the same, it works. Now i know most people are just going to say "use x264 its fine" my issue is 1. it's not working and its supposed to. 2. i want to test a lot of settings and everything so i can find the absolute best options for the best video. any help will be appreciated.
for the time being i have been using shadow play but that gives me some audio desyncage so its kind of annoying.
while here i have 1 question.if i have a 144hz 1440p monitor and i record a video. when it plays back at 1080p 60hz will it be distorted or anything? to me the math doesn't add up so i suspect the video output won't be too great. i have only record like 30 seconds of parts of my gameplay with shadowplay so i don't really have too much experience with long videos and i have not gotten into editing yet so i have 0% experience there.
