Hello. I had success recording about 15 videos from my PVR with OBS on Ubuntu 16.04, now it has failed on the last dozen attempts. After early success recording to mp4 files,a first failure led me to try flv format. It worked once and since that now also fails to record. Only minor OS updates have changed during this time.
The video always appears on the computer screen, and the numbers below appear appropriate - a moving clock of time recorded and CPU use around 18% . A file appears in the designated folder with the current date; however it is usually small - about 8 MB for a recording which typically is usually 10-20 times that size. When clicked on, the file does not play: in Parole Media player it says " Gstreamer backend error. No playable streams found ". VLC player provides no feedback. Drag and drop into OBS window provides no playback or message.
I've tried to update OBS without any success. Any suggestions please ?
