I used to use SSR but recently started with OBS for recording my trades. I noticed that with the same (on the surface) settings, SSR's files are around 15% smaller - sometimes upto 30% smaller after a couple of hours and not only smaller SSR's is virtually identical to actual single frame screenshots. All pics are from 4k footage non downscaled.
With OBS the video is soft and the colours are a tad off. Look at the greens and black borders and the lower green horizontal line. The button text also tends to be off. When I downscale from 4k to an output of 1080p OBS is even worse again vs SSR. SSR has only slight blurriness, infact SSR's 1080p content looks slightly better to the same compared to OBS's non downscaled 4k.
When downscaling with OBS I use Lanczos.
For audio both are using 128k and OBS is set to mono as well. SSR uses Vorbis.
To be fair I have tried on Windows 10 and still can't get SSR's better clarity, colours and smaller file. I have also tried changing the colour to FULL and RGB.
Basically I want the BEST 10fps settings with the smallest file. CPU usage is very similar between the two.
I have tried to make the settings the same, please can someone assist with my blonde moment.
