OBS volume mixer grayed out

I've done some deep dives for the forum on this one, but I have not been able to restore my issue with a lot of the suggestions I've read. I've broken out the issue and attempts to correct below for ease of read. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'll be more than happy to answer anything I can.

Problem:
  1. OBS is grayed out in my audio mixer when trying to assign it an audio channel. (See screenshot: obs-audio-panel.png)
  2. OBS will pick up my main audio channels and microphone, but not the browser sources for my BLERP and Alertbox. Something to note though, when I trigger my BLERP and Alertbox to test they will register in the Audio Mixer panel in OBS, but no sound comes through.
Setup:
  • Windows 11 Pro | Version 21h2
  • Elgato Wave 3
  • Elgato Wavelink software
  • OBS Studio | Version 27.2.4 (64 bit)
Attempted solutions:
  1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled OBS as well as updated to the current version listed above.
  2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Elgato WaveLink and Wave 3 software and updated the to the current version.
  3. I have attempted to reset audio settings in order to rely on other channels in Wavelink that ARE playing through my OBS without issue.
  4. I have deleted my BLERP and Alertbox audio sources in OBS and created new replacements with new source links.
  5. I have opened %appdata% folder in my windows file explore and updated the name for my wavelink file and walked back through my setup processes.

Any help to resolve this constantly recurring issue would be a blessing.

Thanks in advance!
