It will use the aspect ratio from your canvas, in your case 1080p which is 16:9.

My canvas isn't 1080p or 16/9.

Your log suggests otherwise:
Code:
15:23:56.359: video settings reset:
15:23:56.359: base resolution: 1920x1080
15:23:56.359: output resolution: 1920x1080

In any case, if you changed the canvas, you must make sure all apps using the camera are closed and restart the virtual camera in OBS. The resolution can't be changed if its in use by any programs.

Hello,
It seems like the virtualcam built in has no option to keep the original aspect ratio like the plugin did, and gives me stretched 4/3 output, completely nullifying its purpose for me. Is there any way to force it to use the correct aspect ratio ? Thank you.

Did you ever get a resolution to this? I am fighting the same issue right now. Virtual camera doesn't follow the Canvas size and it is super frustrating.

I'm also struggling with this, is any solution known?

Code:
13:33:48.123: video settings reset:
13:33:48.123: base resolution: 1440x1080
13:33:48.123: output resolution: 1440x1080

recordings are correctly going to 1440x1080, but when using VirtualCam for webconferencing I am stretched to 16:9 aspect ratio.
