It seems these days as if someone who writes a virtual camera has to negotiate with the developers of the software that uses that camera! The people at ManyCam have written a forum post that explains:
- they have talked to Zoom to make their Virtual Cam work in Zoom
- they keep talking to Apple to make their Virtual Cam work with more and more apps
The OBS Virtual Camera is currently not listed in Zoom and other apps.
Is it possible that OBS must talk with Zoom and Apple, too, to get the Virtual Camera working again? If so, could you talk, please?
This would help me use OBS with Zoom correctly. The NDI work-around that I currently use instead of the OBS Virtual Camera is not really an option on the Mac, because NDI VirtualInput for Mac has a fixed resolution limit of 1280x720!
