Hello everyone,
I'm a teacher and I use a Windows 10 laptop with an i7 processor with 8GB or ram when using the OBS virtual webcam as an input to Google Meet. My laptop sits between two external displays that I connect with a usb type-c and an HDMI cables.
Normally, I start OBS and the virtual camera and don't touch it during my class unless I need to change a scene. Sometime during my Google Meet, OBS turns on recording. I will glance at OBS from time to time and notice it started recording or my computer will get laggy and I check OBS to find it recording.
I don't want it recording and wonder if I there is a check box that I need to tick to disable recording so it doesn't automatically start recording on it's own.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did you fix this? Is this a design flaw that only the extremely talented and gifted OBS programmers need to fix? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for your help.
