Hi, I saw your youtube on how to use it. It seems quite cool and this is what I am looking at actually.

But i just tried it and i cannot connect the app to my laptop. I have ensure that the websocket server is turned on. I restarted the OBS studio and the app many times but seems i still cannot connect. Kindly see the pic below.

Is there anything wrong with my setting or network?

Hello,
I suspect the issue is IPV6.
IPV6 should work, but there are maybe some other protections on your network or your PC (firewall...)
As regarded to the message on your iPhone, it tells explicitly that the App cannot reach OBS, it indicates the issue is between your device and OBS => Firewall, IP Range... etc

Maybe you should try these:
- Check the Firewall on your PC
- Use IPv4 if you can
- You can also test http://fxmagician.live on your PC, it uses the same type of websocket but on your localhost (there is at least no firewall or other stuff between)

Hello,
Same issue as @pmac1913.
Trying to connect to OBS using OBS Virtual Deck with an iPhone 14 Pro (iOS version 17.2.1).

Changed the following:

OBS > Settings > Advanced > Network > IP Family > Set to 'IPv4 Only' instead of 'IPv4 and IPv6 (Default)'.

Also used http://fxmagician.live to connect via PC which works:

Enabling and disabling Authentication doesn't make a difference.
Issue persists using both Wi-Fi and 5G on iPhone and after reinstalling application.
Issue persists after temporarily turning off Firewall in Windows 11 and try to connect.

Any other ideas that I can try?

Your help is greatly appreciated

If http://fxmagician.live works, that means 2 things:
1 - OBS Websocket is OK to receive connection
2 - The library used on the client (fxmagician.live and iOS app use the same version of library) is compatible

I checked on an iPhone 14 pro, it works well.

I suspect the IP could the the issue.
For instance the IP is a local IP (192.168.88.99) and it is detected by OBS as 'Best Guess'.
On my iPhone, i have the IP in the same range which is 192.168.88.113
They are on the same range 192.168.88.xx

1 - check if the IP on your iPhone is in the same range as the OBS IP
2 - double-check the OBS IP is correct with any other mean (cmd, network properties..etc)
