Sometimes I can't watch a live-stream so I'll record it. So it won't become a huge file, I estimate its duration then use menu > Tools > Output Timer and set a bit over that to record. Very often, if not always, the video will become a still image a couple minutes in ; I very often, if not always, delete them after watching them so I don't know for sure but yesterdays it was slightly after 2:30. The audio is recorded as expected.
