Question / Help OBS & Using NVIDIA DSR

Hi guys,

New to OBS and I am noticing a quite annoying issue that I am sure can be fixed but I am possibly not doing the right thing.

I use NVIDIA's DSR Technology (Dynamic Super Resolutions) my monitor is 1080p but I play most games at a resolution of 2560x1440 using DSR.

In OBS if i record or stream gameplay half the image is cut off or maybe slightly less than half. If i set Base Canvas to 2560x1440 and Output Scaled Resolution to 2560x1440 it is still cut off.

If i set Rescale output in Recording Settings to 2560x1440 it's also cut off.

But if I do play in 1080p then I can record and stream fine.

Any way around this or is this a limitation of the software? I basically want to play in 2560x1440 in DSR mode but stream and record at 1080p

z0ki im sure you have either given up or figured it out by now but for anyone who comes looking after the fact ill let my first post here be a necro... sorry all.

I believe the solution to this issue is to Settings > Video > Base Resolution and set the value to whatever your DSR is set to, in your case it appears to be 2560x1440.

BE AWARE! When you do this, your going to have to resize every source you use that isnt on "fit to screen" or whatever....
(which coincidentally is why im here. to see if there is a way to make obs "auto-adapt" to changes in resolution)
