Question / Help OBS using a lot of CPU

30% isn't a lot by any stretch of the imagination. You're barely using a full physical core worth of the processor.

Its causing the PC to crash. I use 1 pc to stream. It hasn't ever had any issues until the last update

When I start streaming, it starts at 10% then goes to 30% and lags my game and then causes my pc to crash. I have tried resetting the OC and that didn't help.

OBS is not capable of directly causing system crashes/reboots/BSODs, it can only trigger other underlying issues that may result in that type of behavior.

Its not even a crash. It freezes then has a buzzing noise then shuts down.

And OBS isn't capable of directly causing that either. You're free to blame OBS I guess but that isn't going to fix the system issue you're experiencing.

That's for you to determine, these forums are for OBS support and not general system troubleshooting.
