Question / Help OBS using a good amount of my GPU

I'm using a r7 1700x and a GTX 1080. I've been having a hard time on figuring out why I'm losing a good amount of frames when I stream so I opened my task manager and I found out that obs is using about 10% of my gpu with the preview turned off, is there anyway to stop this from occurring? I

OBS will always use GPU whether preview is on/off and streaming/recording is on/off. Its just the way the program is designed. 10% is not a big deal anyway.

You should be focusing on tweaking your game settings to reduce GPU demands. Play around and find the combination that works on a feature by feature basis. You can also reduce the amount of data being processed by lowering output resolution, changing the FPS in OBS output, and limiting the amount of frames being sent by the game to the GPU to render.
