OBS used to work fine, now there's a very high skipped frame percentage.

I've recorded a few 1-2 hour gameplay videos with no issues at all, now I suddenly have 94.5% skipped frames due to encoding lag. I've tried everything under the sun to figure out what changed, but I'm at a loss. PC specs below:

CPU: Intel i5 6500
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080
RAM: 16GB DDR4 2400

Try the baseline stuff first:
Game DVR off
gpu scheduling off
run as admin

If this doesn't work, do all the above and set your downscale to something a little saner

What downscaling option would you suggest? I assumed bilinear would be the fastest option?
