Question / Help OBS UPDATE 17 - Will Not Recognize My Elgato HD60

Hi,

I have used OBS STUDIO for a few months now. It has worked fine. I just updated it with update 17.0 and now my Elgato will not work.

Now it is not being run by another application and it is not the Elgato itself because the Elgato Game Capture HD program runs it fine. Even my old version of OBS RECORDING runs my Elgato fine.

OBS STUDIO won't even recognize it. Now it has for the last few months but update 17.0 no longer will. When I go to >Add, > Video Capture Device, My Elgato isn't even an option.

Is anyone else having this problem and if so how do you fix it? Or any helpful ideas?

And to add whenever I try to change things around in my OBS Studio now it automatically crashes. Can I switch it back to the older version?

How did you fix this? The only thing I am able to do is instead of launching the OBs 64 bit if I launch the 32 bit version everything is fine. When I launch the 64 bit it no longer recognizes my capture card.

I am also having issues when I try to stream and record at the same time. It crashes every time. Stream only fine. And record only fine.

My regular x264 encoder shows it's streaming but at 0 mbps. Then when I switch to the nvidia encoder perfect 3500 Mbps. . (When using the 32 bit version)



Any help would be awesome.
