OBS unable to record 7.1 Desktop Audio.

I use a Razer Kraken Lite headset. Whenever i use 7.1 audio as my output, OBS is unable to record it. I have tried setting OBS to use 7.1 channel audio in the settings, but this does not fix the problem. If i set my output on my pc and OBS to Stereo, OBS can record it, but i paid for a surround sound headset, and would like to be able to utilise it whilst recording.
