For a few months now OBS will randomly hang when trying to change the capture source. I click to disable the source, the preview freezes on the last frame but the UI still highlights and the recording timer continues counting, however the video has stopped encoding and trying to stop the recording, change scene or further interact with the UI causes it to become unresponsive with the only option to forcibly close it, not creating a crash report in the process.
The log is almost empty, only saying when the recording started, and then usually nothing after the hang. This time it mentioned audio devices terminating but was still the same result.
No plugins and HAGS is off, it seems to mostly happen with recordings over an hour, or consistently around 8 hours in. I managed to manually trigger it by recording for an hour and then continually pressing the hide/show source button until it hung
In the attached log file I attempted to change some settings such as removing the VLC source and changing to quarter resolution multipass instead of full, but it still hung shortly after when toggling a source
