Hello, so I have started using OBS to record gameplay to make videos. When I move the recorded videos over to Sony Vegas they play just fine on preview but when I start editing clips, dragging them on top of each other, putting a simple transition effect on it then the video starts to lag. I have good specs and I am thinking the problem is that the videos are being recorded to an MP4 format. I have seen around the internet that Sony Vegas has problems when it comes to MP4 format.
So I was wondering is there a way to get AVI format or do any of the other formats work better? Is there something I need to mess with in the settings to get the MP4 videos to not chug as much on Sony Vegas? Any help would be great!
