Yeah! But how can I stop this happening in the first place?Open Task Manger, go to the Details tab and check there. Does restarting fix this?
Yuppers... So if i restart my cpu OBS shuts down, but then if i open it to record, finish recording and exit out, it is still running in task manager and I have to restart computer again to fully turn it offSo the first time (after restart) you use OBS Studio it works fine, but after that the process remains visible at Task Manager?
Does that happen all the time? (test 5 times: restart laptop, run OBS and exit properly, wait 10 seconds and look at Task Manager)
Sure! Whats the difference? Frame Rate drop... etc.Are you recording to MP4? If so try recording to MKV instead.
Supirsingly enough... It worked! Now whenever I stop my recording and exit out of obs it is fully closed in task manager and doesnt give me the warning I posted in my og post! Here's the main difference: Recordings saved to MP4/MOV will be unrecoverable if the cannot be finalized (e.g. as result of BSODs, power losses, etc.). There is no difference in quality as it uses the same encoder. You can remux the files to MP4 using File > Remux Recordings or enable Auto Remux in the advanced settings. Just try it and let us know.
