Before my video recordings used to be only 2-4 gbs for multiple hours of recording at 1080p, the longest I had ever recorded was probably 4 hours, and even then it was only 8-12gbs for that amount of footage. Now it's taking up 80 gbs for a 2 hour long recording.
I used to use OBS Classic before than, and recently switched to the newer version of OBS. I'm just wondering if there is anyway to lower the size of the footage as it is quite a lot for the amount of footage being gathered.
Some general background knowledge on my computer hardware is:
GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 8GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x
RAM: 32 GBS DDR4 2133MHZ
STORAGE: 1TB M.2 Drive, 1TB Hard Drive, 2TB Hard Drive
Power Supply: Corsair RM750 Wattage
My recording settings are:
Video Encoder: NVIDIA NVENC H.264
Rate Control: CQP
CQ Level: 16
Preset: P6 Slower (Better Quality)
Tuning: High Quality
Multipass Mode: Two Passes (Quater Resolution)
If you need any more information please let me know and I will gladly provide it, thank you to whom ever might see and help me with this issue.
