OBS taking up >150% CPU when streaming

Hey there,

I am an instructor for an online music production school where I do live feedback sessions in a private Facebook group.

Recently my OBS started behaving weirdly, as soon as I hit the record button, OBS starts taking up 150% cpu and won't go lower, resulting in my whole Macbook lagging occasionally. This wouldn't actually be a problem if I didn't have to show some stuff on Ableton Live but sometimes I have to show the students a few tricks and as soon as I load a plugin or two the lag gets out of control.

I tried multiple settings to no avail, tried reinstalling to no avail, issue is happening both with Streamlabs and Studio.

FYI: I am running a non-cracked version of Ableton Live 10 Suite (latest version), included a screenshot of my Macbook Pro's specs just in case. I am still running Mojave because a lot of Ableton plugins aren't compatible yet with Catalina. A friend of mine is having 0 issues on a similar Macbook (less powerful specs) running Mojave with the same OBS settings I have.
